Bio

While on a 2019 photographic assignment in Kenya with DOA’s founder, Kaya Dzambic, I visited a Masai village where I learned a bit about how they live on and with the land, as well as their interest in helping their girls and women become more educated. I also witnessed in a Nairobi orphanage the need for resources to help care for the children as well as the caretakers’ openness to education on methods of caring for young children.

I believe in DOA’s focused mission of improving the lives of Pokot mothers and babies.  Our mission combines the power of respect for indigenous and tribal customs with modern techniques and resources to help women, girls and their babies live longer and more healthy lives.  With each life saved or improved, generations will follow.
